Oh wow, I had no idea Meredith is on Tumblr. She’s the creator of Chunk! Did you know that?

And this was the poster that I saw during her senior show last year at Otis, the reason why we contacted her to be a contributor to The League.

Kudos to Apple for having such good taste! Unfortunately, they don’t let all Webkit browsers access the page, so if you visit, make sure to use Safari.

Chunk Five font, now with accents via Maurice Svay.

Because I love open source and I love this font, I spent the week-end adding the missing glyphs to Chunk. My version of the font has now twice more glyphs than the original (from 85 to 170)…

If you want to give it a try, just download Chunk Five with accents.

Michel Vrana (formerly of Black Eye Design) just recently launched a new website. Quite frankly, it’s my favorite book design portfolio I’ve seen. I especially like how he’s integrated a short rationale/story for each of his designs.

We only like to cross-blog when it’s relevant, but in this case, we (meaning A Good Company, the company behind the League) have re-awoken a previously resting company blog, and we wanted to share it with all you guys, partly because we’re excited to get it going again, and partly because of the type treatment.

There’s a whole lot of @font-face going on! Most awesomely with a variation on our own League Gothic, a variation we’re affectionately calling Little League. It probably won’t end up in the League’s Catalogue, but we’ll find some way to share it with you guys at some point.

In any case, go follow us! :-)

Wow, we just found out that The League got mentioned on SXSW! Samantha Warren gave her talk there this year: Get Stoked On Web Typography. You can look at some of her slides, here. And some amazing sketches by Mike Rohde.
